The beginning of our new semester of Ministry was very
swift and very inspirational.
It began with the school l of leadership. We invited
14 students who already knew Christ personally and wanted to serve Him fulfilling His great commission . As I wrote
in a previous letter - our student leadership team inspired the new generation to
be more initiative, grow personally, help in the ministry and take
responsibility.
Here is our new generation:
Yana (with us for a long time, but decided to serve actively just now)
Dima (came to know God last fall, was baptized in June
and became a member of the church)

Valik ( repented last year coming
to our autumn events)

meeting us on the street
distributing brochures)

Nastya (was already a believer
when she met us, wants
to reach out
for students at her university)

Oksana (heard about God from her Mom who is a
Christian, but decided to follow God recently)
Vika (accepted Christ less than six months ago and got
baptized less than a month ago)

Back to school - the opening of our CRU season. Most
of the students from the English summer camp in July showed up. We continue praying
that the Word that was sown would sprout in them.
This is an at-workshop. My good friend from America –
Dawn Freeland - taught our girls to do collages; three of those girls do not
know Christ yet. That evening they learned that God is able to create something
completely unique and beautiful out of their lives by using our falls and failures
as well as the joy and victories just as we have created beautiful collages
using a bunch of scraps.
The first outreach event - Quest game - about 100
participants. And our students have organized that quest by themselves. That
evening students of Odessa learned that the
search for answers to their spiritual questions, the search for God makes them true human, because spiritual
hunger distinguishes us from animals.
Please pray
- For those students who come to our events. Many of them hear something about God, relationship with Him and search for Him for the first time. Pray for them not to be afraid of a dialogue with us. May they want to hear the Truth and accept it.
- Pray for our student leaders. They work very hard these first weeks and it is very much needed to provide spiritual support for them to help them keep their relationship with God as a priority. May they be encouraged to see the fruit of their ministry.
- Pray for Nastya and her relationship with her mom.
Her mother forbids her to come to us and talk to us. Many other students have
the same problem with their parents. Only God can change their attitudes and
influence them. (By the way, some mothers have been baptized in our church this
summer through the witness and prayers of our students)
